We move from the Accademia Gallery in Venice, where our eyes and hearts are already accustomed to the names of Giorgione, Veronese, Tintoretto and Tiziano, and we continue on to the symbol of beauty...
Verona steps forward with all the charm of its monuments and the romantic halo that over the centuries the figures of Romeo and Juliet have emerged from. Then there is Lake Garda, to understand how much man models the style of his works by rooting it in nature. Until the neoclassical triumphs of Vicenza, with the figure of Andrea Palladio, by setting down “beauty” within precise and indisputable standards. The Venetian Villas planned by him were commissioned by private wealthy individuals, but are on show to everyone, from any social stratification. True art is folk art since, in the words of Oscar Wilde, it forces people to make art themselves. From Marostica and Bassano del Grappa, crossing centuries as if they were bridges, excellence of taste is achieved , with Grappa and Prosecco to fill the senses. Valdobbiadene and Marca Trevigiana lead to the noble Treviso, a prelude to the holiness of Padua, full of masterpieces of which the works of Giotto stand out. Villa Pisani in Stra and the walled city in the province of Padua take us back to Venice: a tour of beauty that also ends in beauty.
